Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital, located in Woburn, MA, is looking for a full-time Surgeon to join our expanding team.
Our 36,000 square foot hospital is home to one of the premier level 1 emergency and specialty centers in New England. We offer specialty care in Surgery, Anesthesia, Neurology, Physical Therapy, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Diagnostic Imaging, Interventional Radiology, Dermatology, and Critical Care, as well as, a busy emergency service. The hospital is supported by approximately 45 veterinarians, 100 veterinary technicians, an in-house diagnostic laboratory with full time clinical pathologist, call center, and a compounding pharmacy.
Our hospital is located just 11 miles north of Boston, a historic and vibrant city, with diverse offerings to meet anyone’s interests, including easy travel to the innumerable scenic points across New England.
Our hospital is well equipped with 5 surgical suites, and advanced care equipment including a full complement of Stryker and Storz arthroscopic, laproscopic, and endoscopic equipment, ligasure, Synthes power equipment, brand new LED surgical lighting, digital radiography with monitors in each surgical suite, OEC 9800 fluoroscopy, Toshiba Aquilion 64 computed tomography and a 1.5T magnetic resonance imaging system.
The Job and the Team:
We are looking for a board certified or board eligible Surgeon to support our hospital on a full-time basis. We are seeking a team member who has excellent interpersonal skills, desires to be a team player, is interested in expanding/growing department, can accomplish a high case load, and possesses strong time management skills. We perform a full array of soft tissue, orthopedic, and minimally invasive surgical procedures. The Surgery department is supported a client service concierge and multiple experienced veterinary technicians, including a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Anesthesia and Analgesia.
