Veterinary Technician - Neurology

Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) is looking to add a full-time or part time, experienced Registered Veterinary Technician for our busy Neurology department.

About the Job: As a Vet Tech in Neurology department you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting our neurologist with receiving of new patients
  • Patient care for hospitalized patients
  • Perform anesthetic monitoring including intubation/extubation of patients, monitoring vitals, and troubleshooting of machines
  • Assisting doctors during patient appointments and discharge from hospital by providing outstanding client care and education.
  • Running the CT machine and assist doctors during patient appointments and discharge from hospital by providing outstanding client care and education.

Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time Shifts and Schedule - TBD

About You:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting required. Recent graduates with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology will be considered.
  • RVT or VTS preferred
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required.
  • Excellent communication skills with clients, with anesthesia and nursing care experience, with great attention to detail
  • Reliable, organized, and provides a high level of care to our patients and our clients.
  • Will act as a representative of the hospital at all times, displaying consideration, courtesy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions.
