Inventory Associate

IVG MetroWest, located in Natick, Massachusetts, is looking to add a full-time Inventory Associate to the team.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Inventory Associate is responsible for maintaining the inventory, purchasing and distributing supplies hospital wide.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Unpack and put away all deliveries in a timely manner
  • Stock and distribute supplies from the stockroom to appropriate departments
  • Ensure the hospital is adequately supplied to perform all clerical, medical and surgical services by organizing and monitoring all inventory
  • Prepare purchase orders for review by Purchasing Manager
  • Perform cycle counts on a weekly, monthly and annual basis to insure accuracy of inventor
  • Responsible for the oversight of local Supplier Relationship Management
  • Responsible for timely execution of Purchase Order Entry for Accounts Payable capture

Qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to read, write, and speak English is required. Knowledge and practical application of mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and liquid unit conversion is required.

Candidates must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills. Practical computer skills including word-processing, e-mail, and order processing and inventory management is needed.

Shift and Schedule: Full-time employment will be 40 hours per week Monday through Friday.   Candidates must have flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends.

Physical Demands:  This position will require this individual to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis throughout the day as well as frequently climb up and down stairs.  It also requires this individual to be able to stand, sit, and reach with hands and arms on a regular basis.
