The radiation oncology technician must be proficient in all technical skills, will provide excellent patient care, and be a team player with a positive attitude. Ability to prioritize, multitask and work in a fast paced environment is required. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with doctors, staff and clients regarding patient status is essential. Attention to detail is required. Primary responsibilities would include, but is not limited to IV catheter placement, venipuncture, drug administration (IV, Oral, and Subcutaneous), prepare and administer chemotherapy following OSHA safety standards, medical dose calculations, acquire radiographs, ability to monitor anesthesia, will assist radiation oncologist in procedures. 2 years progressive veterinary experience preferred.
