The Ophthalmology Technician must be proficient in all technical skills, will provide excellent patient care, and be a team player with a positive attitude. Ability to prioritize, multitask and work in a fast paced work environment is required. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with doctors, staff, and clients regarding patient status is essential. Attention to detail is required. Primary Responsibilities include, but is not limited to IV catheter placement, drug administration (UV, Oral, and Subcutaneous), venipuncture, medical dose calculations, acquire radiographs, will assist ophthalmologist in appointments and procedures. Must be proficient in anesthetic monitoring. 2-3 years progressive veterinary experience preferred. RVT strongly preferred.
